**अच् सन्ति** (Vowel Sandhi Rules )

१	सवर्ण दीर्घ सन्धि	When अक् is followed by सवर्ण-अक् the last letter of the पूर्वपद and the first letter of the परपद, both will be replaced by सवर्ण-दिर्घ.	आ ई ऊ ॠ
२	यण् सन्धि	When इक् is followed by a असवर्ण-अच्, इक् (of the पूर्वपद) will be replaced by यण्.	य् व् र् ल्
३	गुण सन्धि	When अ / आ is followed by a इक् , then the letters will be replaced by a single corresponding गुण letter.	अ ए ओ
४	वृद्धि सन्धि	When अ / आ is followed by a एच् , then the letters will be replaced by a single corresponding वृद्धि letter.	आ ऐ औ
५	अयादि सन्धि	When एच is followed by a अच् , then एच will be replaced by अयवायाव letter.	अय् आय् अव् आव्
६	पूर्वरूप सन्धि	When पदान्त - एङ् is followed by a ह्र्स्व् अ , then पूर्वरूप will replace both .	ए ओ
७	(अयादि) लोपः सन्धि Special Optional Rule	यकार or वकार at the end of a पदम् preceded by अ or आ (i.e. अय् or आय् or अव्आव्) and followed by अच् letter will disappear (लोपः) optionally. After the disappearnce of यकार / वकार, no further सन्धि will happen between the letters at the juncture.	----
